About the Course
A 5 day course leading to a Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry qualification. Includes a FREE Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
The Emergency First Aid at Work is required for all newcomers and new applicants to the Security sector after the 1st April 2021.
Mandatory units covered:
Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry,
Principles of Working as a Security Officer in the Private Security Industry
Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry.
Assessment of this course will be through the learner completing multiple choice examinations, practical assessments throughout the course, and a small questions and answer session with the tutor.
There will be a small amount of distance learning to complete prior to attending the course including a small workbook, English assessment and both ACT - Action Counters Terrorism certificates. There will also be a small amount of distance learning on the knowledge element of the First Aid.
The learner must achieve all elements of this qualification to enable them to then apply to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for their Security Officers licence.
The First Aid element must be achieved prior to progressing onto the Security Officer element of the course.
